Artist Statement
As an emerging artist, my desire is to appreciate the beauty and the freedom of nature. To place this onto the surfaces of canvas, pumpkin, T-shirts or other materials is the desire of my career. This requires coordination, skill, planning observation and experience, especially in portraits. This challenge of constantly learning motivates me to advance to a higher level in art. When I am able to capture the emotion of the subject, I feel ecstatic about the project. I love to do quick sketches and incorporate them into a painting in pastel, acrylic or oil. I feel overwhelm when I am able to share my artwork with others; and I hope my effort would remind them of the special moments in their life.
